- Wash every 2 days: Scalps sweat and attract gunk, just like the rest of hte body, but hair needs a break from the chemical overload. So a once-in-2-days shampoo and conditioning is ample even in hot weather. Choose products appropriate for your hair type. This is even more critical if you've had a treatment done.Unsure what to buy? Ask your stylist for directions. "Rebonded hair calls for regular deep conditioning to maintain the glossy effect,"Says Lee. "Otherwise the strands dry up and lose lusture."
- Give it the spa treatment: Hair spas (there are dozens sprouting in Mumbai itself) to your mane, is what day spas are for your body, and a salon facial for your mug. "A hair spa treatment will breathe life into flat, overstressed, summer dulled hair,"says Lee. "It works like an instant rejvenator."

- a steam massage to revive roots, relax strands, and smoothen rough hair cuticles, so they sit nearly like fist scales and reflect light.
- Emulsifiers that have a deep conditioning effect, "Hair that is snarled by dust, pollution and sweat weakens at hte roots every time you brush,"says Lee. "A once-in-3-months emulsifying treatment is recommended to keep the strands healthy, strong and arrest hair fall."

- Add a touch of colour: Copper and bronze are the hues of summer, but there's nothing to stop you "from experimenting with psychedelic blues, greens, purples and reds",says Lee. These semi permanent colours last max two to three weeks.
Permanent colours have also moved ahead by leaps and bounds. Trends such as strings, global slices and juxtaposed colouring offer shade variations that graduates from root to tip of each strand.
